Celebrities Are Supporting Green Shopping with Reusable Tote Bags

We all look up to celebrities and take their actions pretty seriously. If they sport a new gadget or start a new fashion trend, then you obviously feel like doing the same. This is why it is important that celebrities focus on their actions to make sure the right message is being conveyed to their fans.

Celebrities usually stand up for a noble cause. This time, they have decided to go green by discarding plastic bags and using reusable tote bags instead. Check out some of the stars who are supporting the green initiative wholeheartedly.

This bare tote has been designed by Jessica’s brother, Justin who launched the eco-friendly brand recently. The bag is made from up-cycled coffee sacks. The interesting thing about this bag is that it is reversible. So you get two bags in one. Even Jessica uses this amazing eco-friendly bag when she goes shopping.

The Los Angeles market bag is the result of Apolis’s Local + Global Bangladesh Project. The project connects local retailers with artisans in rural Bangladesh to create employment opportunities. Skilled workers in Bangladesh get to create wonderful hand crafted products in exchange for a reasonable price. It's a win-win situation for the workers and the local retailers. The market bag is one of the products which is made from natural golden jute fiber. It is 100% eco-friendly and pretty durable. Use it, reuse it or send it for recycling. It is a great way to reduce environmental harm. Sophia Bush is currently supporting this initiative by using the bag herself.

The Feed Bag is made from 100% organic cotton and natural burlap. This particular combination of fibers makes the bag highly durable and light. Jessica Alba is setting an example for moms who love green shopping. Maybe she can use her star power to encourage people to use reusable shopping bags.

This is an interesting bag which can be used as a weekender bag as well as a market bag. The inspiration for this bag comes from Amanda Seyfried's playful carryall. The dandelion print adds a much needed charm to the overall design. You can take this bag on picnics, shopping or just about anywhere. You can always pair your clothes with the bag. Give it a try.

This reusable bag is not only green in color, but also green in function. The bag may look simple. However, don’t be deceived by its looks. It can hold up to three plastic grocery bags worth of goods. Now that’s impressive. Probably this is why Reese decided to go with this bag. After all, it saves space and reduces hassles.
